This is a really good app. Well thought out and with the right elements. However they charge you for every little thing they can once you download the app. Somewhat annoying and very greedy.

I love the app, itself! Id like to see more of the silent prayers and it is a bit discouraging to have to pay for so many little features that are just normal, expected parts of the program. But, I love the options for different chanting speeds and font sizes, the daily encouragement, and the option to set trackable goals. It has a lot going for it and is truly beneficial to newer members! Just dont be surprised that it is not actually free.

It keeps track of how long you chant and when. It has a soundtrack to others chanting which helps those of us that chant in the privacy of our homes.

My chant buddy has enabled me to chant the correct way consistent twice daily everyday. It does matter that I paid $4.99 to use it - its a tinie tiny amount compared to the benefits! Somethings just cant be free even for Buddhists

The thing that makes me give a 4 instead of a 5 is that I wish there was more adjustment when it comes to the timing of app chanting with you. Oh! Maybe 2 things: it would be nice to give to give the last prayers of in the book. Other than that, it is a wonderful accompaniment to daily chanting.

This app has been helping me keep track of my goals and inspiring my practice. Its helped me to become a better practitioner. I just wish it had the silent prayers portion of both morning and evening Gongyo. This app has given me an appreciation not only for the SGI-USA but the practice of Nichiren Buddhism. #NamMyoHoRengeKyo

Had to pay for the upgrade to make it worth it but then it was worth every penny! Love how I can control the chant speed and its like being in a room with a group of other people so the chanting feels so powerful.

I love this app. There is one drawback - if you navigate or close the app by accident it stops the timer/counter.

I am only 4 months into the practice, so reader beware. Its so much easier to chant with others and this helps provide that atmosphere. I do have some things that could be better. The chant speed could calculate your daimoku for you. There could be not such a huge difference in speeds, or more variations in speed. Slow is Really slow and fast is warp speed. Last, there is a little jarring feeling where the loop begins. Please dont take these for anything other than suggestions. I love that there is such a thing available as Chant Buddy.

I wish I could provide better review. It would be a great app if they had any support and fix their bugs. Never respond emails, no phone number to call. I continue using app with bugs

this presents itself as a FREE app with the option to purchase more content but in reality, what is free is LESS THAN 30SECONDS worth of one chant before interruption & demand for payment. normally i like being able to test an app before buying, but dont bother with this-- theres not enough free material here to even see what you might be purchasing or how it might work. lame & useless. devs would be better off just charging from the start.

This app charges you money to use all the features. Check out the SGI-USA app from the Soka Gakkai International. They have tracking, charts for viewing goals, a bell (in case you dont have one) and links to the gosho and worldtribune website.

Hey you got to get gongyo done and you have to focus while youre chanting. Chant Buddy is there; they update it and it really helps me in my practice when I need it. Greatest app ever

Very awesome app!! Very helpful in getting Gonyo down and helps me get the pronunciation down. Very helpful and useful!!!

Great app. The design is clearly based on the needs of practitioners. I give 3 stars because it does not have an in app bell to end daimoku and because of the hidden fees. I would prefer to pay 10$ up front for the app than have my daimoku cut off because i havent paid the upgrade fee. That said, I use the app daily and am very glad for it. I am looking forward to upgrades with more features, such as varying daimoku length and tone, and making navigation a bit easier.

This app is very helpful. Has everything you need at your fingertips. If your trying to learn to chant and do daimoku it is a great tool. Also, if you dont like to chant and feel alone this is helps.
